spring break

Ethan did a lot of nothing over spring break. He went home after school was let out only for a couple days. He came back to Mankato and stayed with some friends in their house. I am sure if your were to ask him if they partied a lot, his answer would probably be yes. He thought it was unfair for everyone to be attend these wild spring festivities, so he and his friends created their own way of having fun.
Monday was the first night his spring break festivities started. He went bowling with some of his friends at the local bowling ally, the bonus being it was dollar bowl with dollar beers all night. The weather to everyone surprise was actually really nice, reaching 57 degrees one day. Since Ethan and his friends are so smart they took advantage of the nice weather and grilled out numerous days. Later on in the week his ideas started to run dry, along with all of his friends, so they decided it would be a good idea to clean the house. This seemed like a good idea at the time for the gang, but soon into the cleaning everyone realized what a mistake they started. Then the weekend came, reality of school started to set back into the minds of Ethan and his friends, creating heart acke. They all made the best out of their spring break in Mankato, soon school started back up and everyone took their separate ways.

Family Story

My horrible family vacation over MEA break four years ago. My dad works for northwest, and most employees that work for northwest recieve free air fair. There is a catch behind the free air fair, just like the saying there is no such thing as a free lunch. The deal behind the free air fair is the employees get any open seats on the plane if its not sold out, so if there are no open seats you have to wait for the next plane.
My dad plans a trip to New York City over MEA, everyone knows flying to New York is expensive and can be hard to get tickets. My family arrives at the airport at four thirty in the morning, we arrive at the gate to board the plane and everything is fine. The next thing we know my dad is called to the front desk and to our surprise there is no open seats on the plane. The next flight is a hour later, and there is a flight going out of Minneapolis every hour tell six o'clock p.m.. A hour later we arrive at our next gate, which happens to be across the airport, how convenient right? My family and I wait for all the people to board the plane, then my dad walks up to the front desk to see if there are any open seats, shockingly the answer is no. This happens for the next five planes going out of Minneapolis. It is now 10:30 in the morning and after running to and from different gates all day we are just ready to give up. Just when my family is ready to go my dad receives a phone call from one of his co-worker and he is happy to inform us that if we wait three more hours at the airport we can catch a plane. At this point everyone in my family is ready to ripe each others heads off, but we hold our cool and we get on the plane three hours later.

A Modest Proposal

Swift was trying to propose how to fix the economy in his country. He had different ideas on how to make each family more profitable. For example, he would have his children work and make money for the family. He wanted to stop beggars on the streets, he tried to come up with solutions that would provide them jobs. Swift wrote about how many people were having children, but could not support them. He was concerned about the growing number of people coming closer to poverty in his country. Swift talked about how hard it was to pay rent when people had no money or trade. Then landlords would take personal items from the family to make up for the rent that was not being payed off. He talked about abortions and how inhuman it was for families to be killing their own children.
